Description

Anthonij Rupert Cabernet Sauvignon is a premium, single-varietal Bordeaux-style Cabernet sourced exclusively from L’Ormarins in the Franschhoek Valley, South Africa. Grapes are hand-harvested with optical sorting, cold-soaked, and fermented in wooden tanks. The wine undergoes 24 months of ageing in approximately 60–80% new French oak barrels, followed by an additional 24 months of bottle ageing before release.

Tasting Notes

NOSE:
Characteristic aromas of dark berries, especially cassis and blackcurrant, complemented by Christmas cake, Bordelaise tea leaf, spice, tobacco leaf, cedar, violet florals, and graphite/hedgerow tones.

TASTE:
Rich and layered with black cherry, blackberry, plum, tomatoes leaf nuances, and vibrant spice.

FINISH:
Finishes with lingering cedar, herbal graphite, and refined dry grip.
